Melinda Finch
Administrative Assistant
Melinda brings a diverse background shaped by a life of service and travel. Born in the Philippines and raised in a military family, she spent her formative years across Florida, Alabama, Okinawa, Hawaii, and beyond before eventually making her way to the Pacific Northwest. After attending Portland State University, she enlisted in the U.S. Navy as a Cryptologic Technician Interpretive, serving in California and Texas.
Following her military service, Melinda continued to build her administrative and operations experience through roles with the City of Chesapeake Department of Social Services and, most recently, as an office coordinator for the City of Chesapeake Public Utilities Department’s water treatment plant. She holds an AA in Spanish from the Defense Language Institute and a BA in English.
Despite living in many places, Melinda always felt a connection to Portland and made the intentional decision to return and put down roots. She enjoys comedy, being outdoors, running, yoga, reading, writing, baking, and spending time with her family.
